Meet the Team at BDF Dental

BDF Dental is a family-owned clinic dedicated to providing dental care for the Beaudesert community. Our goal is to help patients maintain healthy smiles. From routine six-month check-ups to advanced treatments, we offer a wide range of services.

Dr Ryan Liang, FRACDS(GDP), FICOI, GDipClinDent (Sedation)

Dentist and Sedationist

Dr Ryan Liang is a highly accomplished dentist and sedationist, graduating with first class honours from Griffith University. He holds a graduate diploma in conscious sedation, allowing him to perform 'twilight' sedation for a more comfortable patient experience. He has advanced training in orthodontics and dental implants, including diplomas in implantology and orthodontics/dentofacial orthopaedics from the University of Jaime II. In 2021, he earned the prestigious Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.

Ryan enjoys connecting with patients and colleagues, valuing the stories and personalities they bring to the practice. He finds special joy in watching his younger patients grow over the years. Passionate about easing dental anxiety, he takes pride in helping patients address their oral health needs in a calm, supportive environment.

Outside of dentistry, Ryan enjoys park walks, lawn care, and Brazilian dancing. He also speaks Cantonese. 

Dr Madusha Ranatunga, BDS

Dentist

Dr Madusha Ranatunga earned her bachelor of dental surgery from James Cook University and has been committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality dental care ever since. She also holds a diploma in orthodontics/dentofacial orthopaedics from the University of Jaime II. 

She offers a full range of orthodontic treatments including clear aligners, traditional braces and functional plates. Helping patients of all ages achieve straighter, healthier smiles is one of the most rewarding parts of her work.

Inspired by her own transformative experience with braces as a teenager, Madusha understands the confidence a beautiful smile can bring. Known for her gentle and reassuring approach, she especially enjoys helping nervous patients and children feel at ease in the dental chair. 

Madusha keeps her skills sharp by staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in dentistry. She also enjoys painting, gardening and hunting down the perfect croissant from local bakeries. A lover of unique experiences, she practices macro photography and once swam with stingrays in the Great Barrier Reef.

Dr Chris Lee, BDSc (Hons)

Dentist

Dr Chris Lee earned his bachelor of dental science with honours from the University of Queensland and brings a warm, approachable style to patient care at Logan Reserve Dental. He enjoys meeting new people and creating beautiful, healthy smiles that boost confidence and quality of life.

Drawn to dentistry through a friend’s recommendation, Chris quickly discovered a passion for helping patients and working with a skilled, supportive team. His friendly demeanor and attention to detail make every visit a positive experience.

Outside the clinic, Chris loves travelling and exploring new restaurants. He has a few unique past hobbies, including ice skating and bartending.

Dr Marc Hakim

Dentist

Dr Marc Hakim grew up in Sydney. He moved to the Gold Coast in 2018 and completed his Master of Dentistry at Griffith University on the Gold Coast. Before working at BDF, Marc worked at Tweed Heads Hospital in the public sector and on the Gold Coast in Nerang in the private sector.

Marc enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and believes that the essence of dentistry revolves around patient-centered care, building trusting relationships with patients, and working in a multidisciplinary team. He strongly upholds and believes in these values, as they allow for a positive workflow environment and the best possible treatment outcome for the patient.

Marc has a profound interest in preventative, endodontics, restorative and aesthetic dentistry. With his ultimate joy in educating his patients about their oral health. Marc Loves working and serving the Indigenous and rural communities, having been multiple times to Townsville, working closely with the Warawanga Tribe.

Outside of dentistry, Marc is highly passionate about most sports, as he grew up playing soccer and running cross country and represented both his school and state. He frequently goes on runs every weekend. Some of his current hobbies include travelling, hiking and spending time with his family and dog.

Dr Kina Yeh

Dentist

Dr Kina Yeh completed her Masters of Dentistry at Griffith University with Distinction on the Gold Coast. Prior to joining BDF Dental, Kina worked on the Gold Coast and in Tweed to deliver quality health care to the local community. Having grown up in Brisbane, she is thrilled to be back practicing in Beaudesert in her local community. 

Kina finds all aspects of general dentistry enjoyable and takes pleasure in ensuring that her patients of all ages are comfortable and well-informed during their dental visits. With her gentle and compassionate nature, she tailors her approach for each individual’s needs with particular interest in preventative, restorative, oral surgery and aesthetic dentistry. 

Remembering her own childhood experiences in the dental chair, she strives to ease any fears or anxiety her patients may have by putting herself in their shoes. She endeavours to create a positive dental experience and strongly believes in treatment plans tailored to the patient’s needs for the prevention of dental disease. 

Kina always holds her work to the highest standard and is committed to continuing her education in order to stay abreast with the latest trends in dentistry and ensure her patients receive the most current and evidence-based dental care. 

When not treating patients, Kina can be found cooking, hiking and planning trips to the beach with her friends, family and pets. She loves discovering new places to eat and keeping active with boxing and dog walks.
